Madison Township Fire Chief - Franklin County, Ohio                           1978-2000

Managed daily operations of fire protection and emergency medical services, including the management of 63 employees; Administered $4.5 million annual budget; Reviewed all planned development; Participated in economic development of Canal Winchester, Groveport and Rickenbacker Port Authority.

Franklin Co. Educational Service Center Governing Board                    1988-2000

Elected to two four-year terms; Former president of the board serving more than 350 special education students throughout Franklin County.

T.G. Fire / E.M.S., Inc.                                                                                 1980-2008

Consulted on the hiring and promotional processes for numerous fire departments around the state; Assessed the current state of fire departments and advised on future planning and development.

Sharon Township Fire Department – Franklin County, Ohio                 1974-1978

Worked as a firefighter and paramedic in Worthington, Ohio; Taught Ohio State University pre-medical students Emergency Victim Care.

Actively involved and twice served as chairman for levy campaigns including 1997 campaign video spokesman; Actively involved in the school Music Boosters (1987-1998) including serving as President (1989-1993); founded and chaired annual marching band contest; Equipment and fleet coordinator.

Served in multiple capacities including: Lay Leader, laity assistant to the minister; Strategic Planning Co-Chair; Trustee Chairman; Administrative Council Member; Youth Disciple Bible Study Leader; United Methodist Men Chaplain; Lay Speaker.
