As companies arrived from Bloom Twp. and Columbus Fire, ladders were raised on three sides and a water supply was established to E182. It took approximately 20 minutes to obtain an all clear on all floors. With no utilities to the structure an arson investigator was called. At this time the cause has been left undetermined. With no life hazard the structure became an exterior attack only situation. Three hours after crews left the scene they were back on a rekindle and due to the unsafe conditions of the building it was allowed to burn down. This structure had two additions one on “B” side and one on “C” side. The original structure had a metal roof and asbestos siding. The “B” side addition was a one story with a void over it and had double studs in the walls with metal roofing standard wood siding. Side “C” was made of rough sewn 1x6’s and 4x4’s with standard wood siding exterior. It also had a metal roof. The series of photos show smoke conditions of original fire and then fire conditions of the rekindle. The last two photos are from the fuel oil tank in the basement when it spewed burning fuel from its vent pipe and then finally failed. E 182 deck gun controlled the flames from the fuel tank.
