On May 6th, 2008 at
approximately 1pm, M182 was dispatched to London-Lancaster Rd on a
reported injured person. Upon arriving, the medic crew was advised
of a injured construction worker on the second floor of the house.
Co-Workers stated that the chimney enclosure struck the patient when
it fell to the floor. At this time the medic crew called for
additional manpower from Engine 182 and Columbus Ladder 32. The
patient was assessed and fully packaged for transport by the medic
crew. The patient was found to only have minor injuries. Upon
arrival of Engine 182 and Ladder 32, the ariel platform of the
ladder was set up and the patient was lowered to ground level. The
patient was then transported to Mount Carmel East Hospital for
further treatment and evaluation.
