Jeff Fasone

Jeff Fasone began his career with the fire department as a part-time firefighter/paramedic in 1985 before being hired full time on February 7, 1987.  He advanced through the department’s ranks as a Lieutenant, Captain, and Battalion Chief before being promoted most recently to Fire Chief on May 2, 2018.  Having served the Township for over 31 years, Chief Fasone has been an integral part of ensuring quality fire and EMS services throughout the growth of Madison Township.

Chief Fasone grew up in southeast Columbus, graduating from Walnut Ridge High School in 1983.  He is a Certified Firefighter, Fire Inspector, Paramedic, Blue Card Instructor and a graduate of the Ohio Fire Chiefs “Ohio Fire Executive” program.

As Fire Chief, he oversees the department staff of over 50 employees operating from three stations. The Fire Department serves approximately  23,500 residents which include the Cities of Canal Winchester and Groveport. Chief Fasone is responsible for the departments’ strategic planning, budget and finance, staff development, community fire risk management, community education, and marketing.

Chief Fasone resides in the Township with his wife Becky.  They are the proud parents of Julie, Amy, and Scott.
