Fire Services
Blood Pressure Checks: Residents are invited to the firehouse during normal business hours to have their vital signs (pulse, blood pressure, and respirations) assessed and recorded. Residents may also visit the following locations, dates, and times:
1st and 3rd Thursday at the Groveport Recreation Center 9:00 am - 11:00 am
2nd Thursday, Groveport Senior Center 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm
CO Detector Checks: If you suspect your carbon monoxide detector is malfunctioning, call 911. The dispatcher will send the appropriate units to ensure your safety.
Fire Station Tours: Your local fire station is open for tours, as long as the personnel are not out on an emergency run. Groups larger than 5 total people need to call the main office during business hours to schedule a tour. The office can be reached at (614) 837-7883.
Smoke Detectors: If you are a resident of Madison Township and you are in need of a smoke detector, you can call the station during normal business hours and arrange to have a free detector installed in your home.
Drug Drop Box: Madison Township is committed to serving the community and is actively engaged in combating the opioid crisis within our area. Unwanted drugs, prescription medications, or illegal substances can be disposed of without any inquiries. The disposal location is in the front lobby of Fire Station 181 at 4567 Firehouse Lane, Groveport, Ohio 43125, and is accessible 24/7. All pills must be placed in a sandwich bag. NO NEEDLES, CREAMS, OR SPRAYS!
